During the trials and storms we face it's hard to see past our current circumstances to the final outcome. We are so focused on our current situation that we can lose sight of the hope set before us if we are not careful to keep our eyes on our Maker, who is molding us into the image of His Son. In the midst of the darkness, the seed that God planted inside of us is truly awakened, which when it is fully bloomed is a flourishing tree planted beside the still waters. Only when we make it through the storm do we come to realize that the waters of life that threatened to sweep us away was the water God used to water us; that the sun who beat on us when we felt like we labored in vain only nourished us with the light of growth, and that the winter seasons of loss only caused our roots to dig deeper down, so that they could become strong enough to withstand the winds of the storm. Joy truly does come in the morning, and what we face now is a testimony in the making of the goodness of God, our Creator, and how He didn't permit the waters to sweep over us.

"For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning... You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, to the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent.
